Our Mission
The RMU Nexus, in alignment with the meaning of the acronym (Righteous Motivation of Unity), presents a visionary approach to community and economic organization, addressing the pressing need for systemic change in the face of growing inequality, environmental degradation, and social disconnection.
Our model is built upon five foundational principles— Reticulation, Reciprocity, Respect, Responsibility, and Regeneration—which guide our mission to cultivate an interconnected community that honors Indigenous wisdom and leverages technological advancements to build a more equitable world.

The Black Paper

These five foundational principles are what guides the ultimate mission of the RMU Nexus, shaping how we approach community, economy, technology, and the natural world.
Reticulation
The process of forming a network or system of interconnecting parts—the intricate web of relationships, connections, and interdependencies within a community and its surrounding environment.
Reciprocity
The practice of exchanging things with others for mutual benefit—a fundamental principle of give-and-take that fosters balance, fairness, and mutual support within the community.
Respect
The deep recognition and honoring of the inherent worth and dignity of all individuals, cultures, and the natural world—an attitude of reverence, consideration, and appreciation for diversity in all its forms.
Responsibility
The conscious commitment to take ownership of one’s actions, decisions, and their consequences—extending beyond individual accountability to collective responsibility for the well-being of the community and the environment.
Regeneration
The continuous process of renewal, restoration, and growth that enhances the vitality and resilience of our community and ecosystems—going beyond sustainability to actively improve and revitalize our social and natural environments.
Key Features of Our Approach
Our ecosystem of programs and initiatives turns these principles into action, addressing real-world challenges like hunger, homelessness, addiction, education, and environmental decay.
Community & Economic Organization
A non-hierarchical, circular structure designed to be the opposite of top-down capitalistic business structures: general assemblies, a rotating facilitation team, an elder council, and skill circles, with decisions discussed openly and consensus confirmed through recorded votes in a separate decision log.
LIFE Ledger
A consent-based record of non-fiat exchange—goods, services, time, gifts, and in-kind contributions—that makes contributions visible and verifiable without creating a currency, a token, or a basic income.
Mentorship & Skill Sharing
Skilled practitioners are paired one-to-one with entry-level members. As mentees grow, they become mentors themselves—a self-sustaining cycle of knowledge transfer that multiplies expertise without creating hierarchies.
Indigenous Wisdom & Technology
Integrating Indigenous knowledge with modern technology to create sustainable and resilient systems—built through collaborative partnerships, co-design, and respect for data sovereignty.
Regenerative Practices
Regenerative agriculture, circular economies, and ecosystem restoration that go beyond sustainability to actively restore soil, cultures, and communities—leaving them better for future generations.
